Welcome To Sedona Ghosts
Behind its picturesque scenery, a sinister air lingers in Sedona. Spirits wander spectral hotbeds like Relics, the restaurant harboring multiple ghosts, or the Creekside Inn, where the debauchery of yesteryear bleeds into the now.
The (Un)Natural Formations of Sedona
A vortex is an unusual and rare phenomenon that requires a perfect storm of conditions. Sedona has three of these fascinating magnetic surges, each calling out with a unique energy signature bound to attract something from the afterlife.
Explore the intricacies of vortices with Sedona Ghosts and hear about the three primary spots where they’ve been felt. Though a vortex doesn’t guarantee a nearby spirit, one can and has drawn the presence of familiar specters to those nearby.
Could the oddities of Sedona be a direct product of its vortices? There is an unusual amount of spooky, haunting, and weird activity in and around the city, and Sedona Ghosts has the intel on it all.
What Will I See?
Visit Sedona’s Most Haunted Locations, Including:
- Relics Restaurant and Banquet Venue – Attached to this local eatery is one of Sedona’s oldest structures from the 1800s. That explains the collections of spirits it has amassed over the years, from the building’s former owner to a vengeful soul in search of justice.
- Church of Christ – An eager bride paces back and forth along nearby Schnebly Hill Road. Sadly, her wedding was many years ago, and the tragic bride met her end before she could say “I do,” leaving behind an emotional imprint that may never find peace.
- GreenTree Inn – A spectral couple enjoying the night air. Mirrors that fog over regardless of the conditions. Ghostly writing scrawled at the base of the mirror. It’s just another night at the quaint GreenTree Inn.
A Multi-Generational Haunt
Being one of Sedona’s last remaining historic buildings, Relics Restaurant and Banquet Venue was sure to play host to some form of ethereal entity. Over the years, it’s worn many hats and served the community in a number of ways. It’s also accumulated several specters, all with their own reasons for staying behind.
Dive into the energized world of restaurants with Sedona Ghosts and explore Elizabeth’s story. Though who she was and why she stayed at Relics remains unknown, she’s often spotted watching over service and tables that need bussing. From another era, one of the building’s original owners still lurks about. However, neither are as standout as the specter accompanied by a distinct aroma.
Metallic blood and the burning scent of gunfire waft through the parking lot, a memory of a grizzly scene from years ago. When the smell is most prominent, so, too, is a heavy energy, as if an angered spirit lingers nearby. Forever on the hunt for justice, young George Thomas Nelson is bound to the Relic, where his life was unceremoniously ended.
The Wandering Bride
Tales of ghost brides are a thing of legend, told and retold among young friends trying to scare one another. She may be spotted walking down a lone highway, or forever lost to a local lake. In Sedona, she wanders Schnebly Hill Road in the shadow of Mogollon Rim, never to find happiness.
Prepare for a heartbreaking and horrifying haunt as Sedona Ghosts lays the foundation for a love story with no ending. The identity of the lost bride remains a mystery. Those who have tried approaching her have been met with a disturbing sight. Unlike the ghost brides of other lore, the specter of Schnebly Hill Road wears her tragedy, her veil torn and her face contorted into a pained sob.
Some wonder whether she even is the spirit of a bride who never saw her wedding day. Her wailing cries and alluring glow suggest she may be trying to attract passersby. The question still remains today: Is it a malevolent entity using the guise of a bride or a real lost soul forever searching for her mate?
Why is Sedona so Haunted?
The Devil Rider and the Fiery Red Ghost
Greer’s Mortuary is no stranger to death. It welcomes it daily as cold bodies await preparations for their final moment in the spotlight. Not every corpse is afforded the opportunity to be under that process, though. Some meet a gruesome future, as part of a nightmarish legend.
Gather around Sedona Ghosts and hear about the monstrosity that terrorized the townfolk for decades. A stark red fiend that remained elusive, leaving behind only tufts of fiery hair. Thought to be the Devil on some sort of hellbeast, the red demon gave locals a fright. At least, those who didn’t die in its path.
The Red Ghost sounds like a campfire tale. Yet, those who saw it will maintain that it’s not an old wive’s tail. Something fiery red once stalked Sedona, leaving two bodies in its wake. Learn more about this terrifying legend and more on a spirited ghost tour with Sedona Ghosts.
Sedona’s Most Haunted
Long ago, Sedona was the embodiment of a Wild West town. Miners sought riches in the mountains, cowboys rose with the sun, and ladies of the night provided comfort for both. Built on the site of a former brothel, the quaint Creekside Inn is home to at least one apparition who left a piece of her soul behind, anchoring her to Sedona.
At any point when visiting the Southwest, it’s worth keeping an eye on the sky. From the dark desert roads north of Las Vegas to the starry skies above Phoenix, UFO sightings are common. In Sedona, people flock to Spaceship Rock and Bell Rock late at night for the chance at catching a speeding craft moving impossibly across the stars.
Sedona is a hotspot for the unusual and the strange. From the Red Ghost to UFO sightings overhead, more than just ghosts attract curious minds. The Mogollon Monster is another fine example of the peculiarities that await in this Arizonan retreat. Hairy, clawed, and ghastly, the beast of Mogollon Rim is a vision that will embed itself in your mind should you ever spot its hideous form.
