Preview The Most Haunted Locations In Ogden

Peery’s Egyptian Theater

Theaters frequently host visitors from the other side, spectral stagehands or theater-goers who feel a significant bond to the energies of such a space. Along with Peery’s eternal devotees is a more tragic haunt, the apparition of a young girl who died before the theater opened.

The Bigelow Apartments

Bigelow Hotel has been the scene of incidents and deadly accidents, from the drowned bride to the employee who fell down an elevator shaft, both of whom are still around today.

Union Station

Once the connective tissue that linked Ogden to the rest of the world, this historic train station now connects the realms of the living and the dead. Ghostly children are a stark contrast to the weight that still hangs heavily from the Bagley Train Disaster of 1944.

Welcome To Ogden Ghosts

Just as Union Station had done over 150 years ago, Ogden serves as a junction point for the dearly departed and the lost souls who may have once called the city home. See what the haunts of Cinema 502 are up to, or listen for the eerie whispers that flow through the Ogden City Cemetery on a frighteningly fun Ogden ghost tour.

Terror on 25th Street

Unbeknownst to many travelers, grabbing a refreshing pint at Roosters Brewing puts them amidst one of Ogden’s most haunted territories. Just beyond the simple and inviting atmosphere lies a street that was once flooded with sin.

Explore the controversial history of Ogden’s 25th Street with Ogden Ghosts. Like a Wild West town, Ogden’s 25th Street was lined with brothels, opium dens, and gambling parlors. Each left its own stain on the city’s more pristine contemporary way of life. Residuals of the debaucheries that once drove the town linger and tell tales once forgotten.

Follow a timeline that veered off into the immoral in the early 20th century, spurring the negative energy responsible for the specters that now haunt establishments like Roosters Brewing. It’s not just the brewing company that’s visited by the otherworldly, too. Virtually every shop on 25th sports an echo of a darker presence – learn about it all with Ogden Ghosts.

What Will I See?

Visit Ogden’s Most Haunted Locations, Including:

  • Union Station – Once the connective tissue that linked Ogden to the rest of the world, this historic train station now connects the realms of the living and the dead. Ghostly children are a stark contrast to the weight that still hangs heavily from the Bagley Train Disaster of 1944.
  • Peery’s Egyptian Theater – Theaters frequently host visitors from the other side, spectral stagehands or theater-goers who feel a significant bond to the energies of such a space. Along with Peery’s eternal devotees is a more tragic haunt, the apparition of a young girl who died before the theater opened.
  • The Bigelow Apartments – Bigelow Hotel has been the scene of incidents and deadly accidents, from the drowned bride to the employee who fell down an elevator shaft, both of whom are still around today.

A Legacy of Death

Now a towering 12-story apartment complex sprawling with over 130 small to mid-size units, the Bigelow had a past life as a hotel. Though it changed hands quite a bit throughout the years and even took on a different name, there’s been one constant that lingers today. Clinging to the apartment building as if hanging onto one last thread of existence are specters of an earlier age.

Explore the haunting tales of the Bigelow Apartments as Ogden Ghosts recounts horrid and tragic tales. Did the soon-to-be bride accidentally drown in the bathtub? Or did a dastardly figure get away with murder? Is the pale-faced ghost her son, clinging to his mother’s tragedy? Or did another child lose his life within the walls of the Bigelow?

Chances are, there are more spirits than anyone has counted festering within the aura of the former hotel. Hotbeds for emotional encounters and sorrowful final nights, hotels ooze with spectral energy. Is this the story of Bigelow? Find out on a heart-pounding Ogden ghost tour.

Why is Ogden so Haunted?

The Young Girl and the Watchful Soldier

Beneath the pristine greens of the Ogden City Cemetery, the decayed remains of former residents lay in peace. Six feet above, the soft footsteps of an unfortunate young girl and the somber patrol of a former soldier keep the cemetery grounds active.

Stand with Ogden Ghosts on the welcoming community greens of Ogden Plaza and navigate the legends of the nearby Ogden City Cemetery. Feel a chill freeze you in place as you hear about the unexplainable epic of Florence Grange. A young girl with no future, Florence is a legend of the cemetery, her mysterious death spurring questions that not even her spirit can answer when summoned.

Discover the local lore of Florence Grange and what happens when faced with the possibility of coming face to face with a World War I soldier. The startling phantom haunting the statue uses the imposing piece to keep visitors at bay. Those who test the veracity of any of the cemetery’s legends are said to stir the statue. Or, rather, the specter within.

Ogden’s Most Haunted

To see every haunted sight in Ogden would take more than a simple walking tour. Utah’s historic city is circulating with spectral energy, which brings activity to locations like the Ogden Exchange Building. Once a clinic for the county’s mental health services and home to the morgue, it’s no surprise that the exchange building boasts ghostly whispers and other mysterious noises.

Then there’s Tinseltown Theaters, once a quaint space where locals gathered for discount shows. One evening, it’s said two lovers came to the theater, their final destination before taking their own lives. Why they chose the theater or why they didn’t feel they could go on remains a mystery, one that only their anchored specters could answer. Now a permanent fixture of the more lavished contemporary space, the couple is a presence that many theatergoers have seen and felt.

It’s a bit on the nose when a haunted attraction actually houses a few specters. That’s the case for the former Dead Haven Haunted House. In the absence of the entertaining haunt, specters have claimed the building as their own. Gaze up at a window, and you may spot an inhuman face staring back.

5 REASONS TO BOOK YOUR OGDEN GHOSTS TOUR RIGHT NOW!

1) You Already Completed the Salt Lake City Ghost Tour

Separated by less than an hour’s drive, Salt Lake City and Ogden can feel like companion cities. When you’re done exploring one, you can venture off to check out the other. The same goes for ghost tours. If you’ve topped off your time in Salt Lake with a stroll through the city’s haunted history, it may be time to set your sights on the haunts of Ogden.

2) You Haven’t Had Your Fill of Outdoor Adventures

With nearby mountains to trek up, a bounty of trails, and the thrills of Salt Lake, you can easily fill a day with outdoor fun. What about when night falls, though? A ghost walk may not initially sound adventurous, but what do you call wandering the line between the living and the dead?

3) You Need Another Family-Friendly Activity

It can sometimes be difficult to plan an evening of family-friendly activities. Often, kids need to be excluded for one reason or another. That’s not the case for a ghost tour. While the subject matter can get a little adult, even young kids should have the opportunity to get to know the local history, haunted or otherwise.

4) You Have Tickets for a Show At Peery’s Egyptian Theater

Catching a live show at Peery’s Egyptian Theater? Enjoy the show, and don’t forget to watch out for strange phenomena with no real explanation. You may not outright spot an ethereal mist, but the activity within the theater is often undeniable.

5) You Love to Test Local Legends

During the tour, you’re likely to hear about a local legend at the Ogden City Cemetery. Though the tour won’t test the merits of the urban myth, it may provide the inspiration needed for a (respectful) visit to the burial grounds to try and communicate with the long-lost young girl.
