You may not be familiar with the name Casa Casuarina. But you may know it from its original name: the Versace Mansion. That’s right, the lavish palace where fashion mogul Gianni Versace lived, worked, and eventually met his tragic fate is right in the heart of Miami.
Casa Casuarina was designed with many trap doors and secret passageways, not by Gianni’s design but by the original architect, Alden Freeman. Some say you can hear the former residents of the casa shuffling through passageways in the walls and overhead while you sleep.
