Boston’s Haunted History

Boston is deeply entrenched in some of the most important events in American history and remains a vibrant and culturally significant city to this day. This is a town with stories, and every corner and crevice of Boston holds a compelling tale that deserves to be told.

The city’s age is the main reason it has so many notable ghost sightings and encounters. Where there is history, there is pain, and that pain can leave a spiritual mark that reverberates for generations.

Boston’s Haunted Watering Holes

Our harrowing pub crawl of Boston’s most devilish drinkeries combines the best of a bar crawl with the added bonus of seeking out the supernatural! What goes together better than poltergeists and potent potables?! Join our local guides of ghosts, ghouls, and shadowy specters as they show you the coolest bars in Boston which routinely receive visits from spine-chilling spirits. There’s no better way to imbibe and discover the city’s horrifying secrets and chilling tales!

Why Go On Our Haunted Pub Crawl?

In Boston, local knowledge goes a long way, perhaps more than any other town in America!  Your conductor of the spine-chilling will steer you to the coolest, creepiest, and most celebrated watering holes this awesome city has to offer. You’ll see a side of BeanTown that even some natives miss out on!  Down a glass in the All-American Boston tavern that served Frasier, Norm, Sam, and Woody for 11 seasons on Cheers! Hear the alarming accounts of unexplainable rattling and how glasses glide across the bar all by th emselves.

Your guide will also fill you in on the story of Mary Dyer, a terrifying near lynching, and the tales of the most haunted hotel in all of New England! Boston is one of the oldest cities in the country and you’ll hear all about its hair-raising history.

Check Out The City’s Must-See Spots

Saunter through the oldest public park in the country and learn its harrowing history of public executions. Savor a spirit in one of the city’s oldest establishments that served such notable figures as Louisa May Alcott, Alexander Graham Bell, and even John F. Kennedy!  There’s no better way to get a taste of Boston’s provincial energy than with our native conductors of banshees and booze!

Meet New Fellow Supernatural Seekers

Meet new people from all walks of life who are also interested in the celestial and the occasional drink or five. There’s never been an easier icebreaker than devils and drinks!  See the scary and unspoken side of Boston through the eyes of local guides who know Beantown better than anyone.  You’ll end the night not only visiting some of the most talked-about bars in the city but also armed with enough festive facts to enthrall your friends back home.

Locations on Tour

Cheers

Initially just the facade for exterior shots of the iconic eponymous bar on Cheers, Boston’s Bull &Finch Pub fully embraced the fame from the show. Despite being known as the cozy bar where everybody knows your name, Boston’s own Cheers bar may not be the wholesome gathering place you would expect.

It’s been said that the underground bar has a mysterious spirit lingering there.  Waiters at the pub have reported rattling glasses on the shelves and mugs that have slid completely across the bar on their own

Omni Parker House Hotel

Do you dare to set foot in Boston’s most haunted location? The Omni Parker House Hotel is so supremely haunted that its most notorious room, room 303, has scared so many guests that the hotel has had to turn it into a storage closet. It has also been speculated that room 303 inspired Stephen King’s short story, 1408.

Beyond the terrors of room 303, the hotel’s 9th and 10th floors are also said to be haunted by the Omni’s original owner, Harvey D. Parker. It’s also been said that the mirror on the Mezzanine has reflected sightings of famed author Charles Dickens.

Beantown Pub

Established in 1999, Beantown Pub is a central hub nestled in downtown Boston to enjoy casual dining, parties, and enjoying time with friends. Sam Adams died in 1803 and was buried at the Old Granary Burial Ground directly across the Street.

While the pub itself isn’t haunted, the burial ground certainly is. The Infant’s Tomb is where 480babies are buried. Ghostly apparitions have appeared and visitors have captured images of numerous floating orbs and shadowy faces in their cell phone photos.
